Iguana Surf specializes in surfing, aquatic activities, land safari's, tours, vacation packages and rentals.
The sport of surfing is growing all over the world; that is why Iguana Surf is bringing surfing to the masses. We have been teaching surf lessons in Tamarindo for over 12 years. We have 6 professional instructors that work full time. Each instructor can teach up to 4 students per lesson. We have 3 lessons a day, starting at 9 am , 1 pm , and 3 pm . Each lesson is two hours long and includes the red rash guard, softop surfboard, and instructor. Our professional surf instructors will give a 20-minute technique and safety course on the beach and then assist you in the water. Within an hour, you will be up and catching your first wave. We have taught from as young as 4 years old to 88 year old. All you need is a good attitude and we provide the rest. The price is $30 per person. Our staff photographer will be out on the beach capturing all your wonderful memories on film. You can purchase the photos after the lesson in the Iguana Surf shop.

Iguana Surf has three locations throughout Tamarindo. Our main office is located in our 4-story rancho, on the main road to Langosta, just behind the main circle of town. We are open Monday through Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm. Iguana Surf office is the largest information center and tour office in Tamarindo.
Our main surf shop (Iguana II) is located directly in the middle of Playa Tamarindo. Iguana II is open daily from 8 am to 6 pm. Iguana II has a large variety of rentals from long boards, short boards, soft boards, boogie boards to roof racks, lockers, and sea kayaks. We carry FCS, Block, Sticky Bumps, Sex Wax, Al Merrick, Quicksilver, Sun Cure, and many more name brand products.
Our third location is located in Playa Langosta, at the Barcelo hotel resort. We are located in the hotel next to the pool. We specialize in aquatic adventure, such as kayak and snorkeling tours along with surf lessons, board rentals, board sales, and much more.
