Welcome to our home away from home! Casa El Nido is an elegant, custom-built Spanish style vacation home situated just off the main street, in the heart of the most private residential area in Playa Tamarindo. Just a two minute walk across the street and down a short path, and you are in the warm waters of the Pacific; perfect for children, swimmers, boogie-boarders, and surfers. When you return from the beach for an afternoon nap in the hammock, you can rinse off in the outdoor shower nestled within the lush tropical gardens that surround the home. And, if you look up into the trees you might see the local howler monkey family making their daily rounds for food in the canopy; if you look down, you might see an iguana saying hello to you, but please don't feed them as they need to survive while you are not there.

Casa El Nido is the perfect vacation home for couples, as well as families. Small children are welcome too.  The whole house opens onto a large, screened porch/living area where you can hear the sounds of the ocean and the tropics. The emphasis is on large, open and bright spaces so that each guest can find that “perfect spot” to enjoy a good book or just relax.
Casa El Nido features high ceilings, with an abundance of fans, or you can close the house and use the air conditioning. Spanish tiled floors, a generous use of teak detail throughout, hand-carved interior doors, and imported tile counters add to complement the unique ambiance of this home.
 The master suite has a queen bed, a private bath, and is individually air conditioned. Double doors open from the bedroom onto the lanai, a perfect nook in which to enjoy your morning coffee!
The house comfortably sleeps four adults and can accommodate up to eight using the two full sized futons/couches. Another full bath is located just off the main living area. For travelers in wheel chairs, Casa El Nido is easily accessible. The gourmet kitchen comes fully equipped for preparing your own meals. Want to eat out while you are here? Hotel Capitan Suizo, a two minute walk along the short path you took earlier to the beach, has a fine dining beach restaurant and offers a variety of delicious cuisine.

A five minute walk down the beach and you will be in the quaint town of Tamarindo, where you can enjoy excellent restaurants, as well as shopping. While in town you can arrange for fishing, diving, surf board rentals and lessons, canopy tours, hiking, and horse back riding. You say you like to play golf? Three excellent golf courses are in the nearby area. And finally, you can arrange for a nighttime tour, to watch the giant leatherback turtles as they lay their eggs. We have recommendations for eco-friendly tours.

Daily maid service is provided six days a week and includes cleaning, fresh linens and towels. A laundry service is offered for a small fee. Cable TV, a VCR and a security box are also provided. Parking is available either on the street or inside on the property. Boogie boards are available at the house for your use.
